Single Center Back Braid

 Braided styles have been go-to styles on those busy days when you don't have the time to perfect those Farrah Fawcett curls. It's a great style even when your hair is a little oily. This simple style has graced the runways of Emilio Pucci as well as Lanvin for fall 2011.

 To achieve this look, begin by parting your hair down the center. Leave a few strands out in the front to frame the face. Brush the rest of the hair to back and begin a three stranded braided until you come to the ends of the hair. Secure the ends with a hair band.

Fishtail Braid

The style would also look great with a fish tail braid. A fish tail braid requires you to use very tiny pieces of hair and overlap them until you reach the end. If you don't want a very clean looking braid, when you secure the ends of the braid, slightly pull it out to give it a flat appearance like the picture of the first model.
